NOTE: The “Start Job Now” feature is only available in mobile view, so you’ll need to download and log into the Properly app to use it.

Hosts and Property Managers (plus their employees/partners) can create a job and complete it on their own using the “Start Job Now” feature.

This is a useful feature if:

  • You’re a host who cleans or inspects your properties.

  • You prefer to inspect your properties on your own schedule.

  • You prefer to have your Service Provider(s) schedule their own jobs.

Who Has Access?

This feature is already active in your host account. However, if you want to grant access to your Service Provider(s) and employees, you’ll need to add them to your account as Partners or Employees.

How to use the “Start Job Now” Feature.

Create a job as usual, either in your “Properties” section, from your Calendar, or as a checklist in your Checklist Library.

NOTE: When you start a job, your start time and location are logged in the job summary. If you’d like an accurate start time and location, it is best to wait until you’re at the property to use the “Start Job Now” feature.

"Start Job" from the Properties Section

  1. Click the “Properties” icon in the navigation bar, and select the property you’re working on.

2. Click the “Create Job” button at the bottom of the screen.

3. On the “Create Job” screen, move the toggle switch for “Start job now” to the “on” position.

4. Click “Start Now,” and the job will begin immediately.

"Start Job" from Your Calendar

  1. Click the “Calendar” icon in the navigation bar, and press the “+” button in the top right corner of the screen.

2. On the “Create Job” screen, move the toggle switch for “Start job now” to the “on” position.

3. Click “Start Job,” and the job will begin immediately.

"Start Job" from a Checklist

  1. Select the property you’re working on, then click the “Checklists” button.

  2. Pick (or create) a checklist for the job and click the "..." button next to it.

3. Click the “Create a job with this checklist” button at the bottom of the screen.

4. On the “Create Job” screen, move the toggle switch for “Start job now” to the “on” position.

5. Click “Start Job,” and the job will begin immediately.
