Step 3: Fill Out Your Profile

Add your experiences, skills, and specialties to your profile to stand out as the spectacular Service Provider you are!

You’ve created your Properly account and set your primary language. Now it’s time to make it easier for your clients to find you by filling out your account profile.

To fill out your profile, open the Properly app and tap the Settings icon (shaped like a gear) in the top right corner. From here, you can:

Choosing a Profile Photo

Service Providers with profile photos get more jobs! Choose a nice photo of your face, rather than a full-body shot or one of you in a group of other people. You want your clients to know it’s you!

Add a Profile Photo

  1. Click “Edit Profile,” then hit the “Profile Photo” tab to take a photo of yourself (or upload an existing one.)

2. Click “Save” to return to the previous screen.

Add Your Contact information

Your contact information should already be here as you used it to set up your account. Still, it’s good to double-check for typos in your email or phone number!

  1. To edit or double-check your contact information, tap the “Contact Information” tab in the “Edit Profile” section.

NOTE: If your email or phone number ever changes, you can update them here.

2. Click “Save” to return to the previous screen.

Specify Your Services

Now you can specify the services you provide. If you join the Marketplace, potential clients can view the services you offer when they check out your profile to see if you are a good fit for the job!

  1. Tap the “Services” tab in the “Edit Profile” section.

2. Select all of the services you offer from the list.

3. Once you've selected your services, click “Save” to return to the previous screen.

About Me

The “About Me” section is an excellent place for you to brag a little! Tell potential clients what makes you different from everyone else!

  1. Tap the “About Me” tab in the “Edit Profile” section.

2. Type up a summary about your experience, your specialties, and why you’re the best choice for the job. Be sure to tell them how long you’ve been working in the hospitality industry.

TIP: You can also include information that helps them know if you’re a fit for an upcoming job, including:

  • Your weekly availability (sometimes it's easier to indicate times that you can't work rather than listing out all of the times you can.)

  • Your standard rates and policies (plus any exceptions that might apply)

  • Your business philosophy (why you do what you do, what makes you stand out from the crowd)

3. Click “Save” to return to the previous screen.

Marketplace Settings

  1. At the bottom of the “Edit Profile” section is the "Marketplace Settings" switch.

  2. To be shown on the Marketplace, toggle the switch to the On position.

    • If you turn this switch on, you’ll appear in the Properly Marketplace once you complete three jobs on Properly.

3. If you don't want to show up on the Marketplace, toggle the switch to the Off position.

  • If you turn or leave the switch off, you won’t appear in searches when managers and hosts in your area search for a Service Provider.
