Step 6: Set Your Notifications

Configure notifications in the cleaner account so you know when jobs are pending, updated, or cancelled.

You’ll want to know immediately if your client is requesting that you provide cleaning or other services at their rental. You’ll also want to get notifications if the job changes or is cancelled. Here’s how to configure your notifications so you’ll always be up to date.

Open the Properly app and go to Settings by selecting the gear icon in the upper right corner of the app. You’ll see this page, where you can select “Notifications.”

Select Notifications and you’ll see all of your current notifications. The default in the Properly app is for you to receive notifications via app notification and email, but you can change it to get notifications by text message as well. (From left to right: email, text, and app notification.)

We highly recommend you keep your notifications on! You don’t want to miss it if a client cancels a job or requests that you come at a different time.
