Does my Service Provider need to use a smartphone too?
Yes. Your service provider can only access the checklists you send them with a smart device. That can be any iOS or Android device. If you'd like to provide an affordable device to use Properly here's how to share your Properly checklists with people who don't have a smartphone.
How do I invite my service providers to use Properly?
Properly is invite-only for cleaners, housekeepers, turnover assistants, and anyone who uses your checklists on the job. Therefore you must add them as a contact so they can get a special link to create an account, download the app, and receive your job requests.
To invite your cleaner, simply add them in your Contacts. You can also add a cleaner as a contact at the same time you send them your first job request. When you add them as a contact, Properly will send them a link to create an account and download the app. They must follow this link and click "Accept Invite" and then fill out their information to create an account. Then they can download the app and install Properly on their phone.
As soon as they log in they will be able to access, preview, and accept the job(s) you sent them.
When my service provider logs into Properly they do not see any of my job requests.
This might be because your service provider downloaded Properly from the app store and created an account as an owner. Owners and service providers have separate Properly roles and distinctly different features in the app. If you're an owner, you can create your own account by downloading the app or signing up online. Service providers should be invited by owners to use the app.
The best solution is to ask your service provider to log out of the Properly app and log in with their phone number. This is most likely the account you invited them with and the one they can receive your requests on. Then have them pull down the jobs tab to refresh and see your requests.
Your service provider most likely has the browser set to private mode which is incompatible with our backend account creating software. Just turn off private browsing and click on the link again, it should work then!
How do I pay the Service Provider?
Because Properly is a platform for Service Providers to list themselves and does not contract with or employ Service Providers, Service Providers have full freedom to choose their own prices for services and take 100% of their earnings. That means all payment transactions are conducted outside of Properly.
Not yet, but that ability will be available in the near future.
