To connect listing platforms, iCal feeds, or PMS to Properly, choose which scenario applies to you.
A. You list only on Airbnb or VRBO/HomeAway and do not use any 3rd party systems:
Connect your accounts on the Connected Accounts page. You can connect as many Airbnb and VRBO/HomeAway accounts as you want with your Properly account. If you list the same properties on both platforms, they will both be imported. You will need to merge any duplicates to have all of your photos and booking calendars consolidated (and instructions on how to merge are below).
B. You manage your properties using a PMS (property management software) that has a direct interface with Properly (Orbirental, BookingSync, Escapia, or V12.NET). Select which PMS you use for directions:
C. You manage properties on a PMS or platform that does not yet have a direct interface with Properly:
First, you should connect any Airbnb or VRBO/HomeAway accounts to Properly. This will import all your listing photos and general property information (important for making checklists!).
Then connect any iCal link or URL calendar to a property you have on Properly and it will sync your reservations calendar for you so you can view them and schedule in your calendar. If you are using an iCal feed from your property management system, you’ll then want to disconnect your Airbnb and VRBO/HomeAway accounts to avoid creating multiple reservations in Properly.
Property Merging can be found under the Connected Accounts tab in your profile. Be cautious when merging properties because you cannot unmerge them. If you merge properties that should remain separate, you’ll need to go to your Connected Accounts and re-import the properties. Then you can delete any extras from the Properties tab.
Once your listings are imported and merged, you can customize them. There are two steps to editing a property. The first is to edit the basic property information such as the title, address, and number of rooms and bathrooms. Click on a property and click on Edit in the top right corner to edit these.
Next you should edit Property Details which your Service Provider sees when they are on a job at that property. These details are saved to the property so you never have rewrite them or explain them every time. Property details sections include: garbage, entry access, WiFi, and parking information.
Once you’ve configured all of your properties you’ll be ready for the fun part: making checklists!
